Three Grizzly Wins Highlight League Championships for Cal

 

At the EBAL Championships at Amador Valley High School, Justin Miller, Chelsey Kamson and Brienne Doan each won league championships in their events.

Miller took the boys pole vault by 2.5 feet, tying a meet record with his vault of  16' 0".  He also placed 2nd in the 110 high hurdles with a personal best of 15.87

Kamson recorded personal bests in all three of her events.  She won the 100 hurdles in a school record time of 15.49, set another school record placing 2nd in the 200 in 24.80, and took 2nd again in the 100 with a blazing 12.37.

Doan defended her league title in the 300IH, winning the event in 46.15.  She also took 6th in the 400 and ran on both Tri-Valley qualifying relay teams.

Both the girls and boys squads finished in 4th place in the team standings.

In frosh-soph competition, three Grizzlies won league championships.  Kaitlin Piening in the pole vault, Jeff Ferrier in the shot put and Alexandria Alvarez in the 100 hurdles.
